Terms & Conditions

1. About Scoop-It

Scoop-It is a subscription-based dog waste removal company operating in and around Wānaka.

We provide:

  • Weekly dog waste removal

  • Fortnightly dog waste removal

  • One-off clean-ups

  • Residential and selected commercial services

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service with Scoop-It, the customer agrees to:

  • These Terms & Conditions

  • Our Privacy Policy

  • Any service-specific agreements communicated at the time of booking

These Terms apply to all customers unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Service Access Requirements

Customers must ensure:

  • Safe and reasonable access to the property

  • Gates are unlocked where necessary

  • Dogs are secured if they may pose a safety risk

  • Hazardous materials or dangerous conditions are disclosed

If our staff are unable to safely access the property, the scheduled visit may still be charged in full.

4. Subscription Services

Recurring Plans

Subscription services renew automatically according to the selected billing cycle unless cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

Service frequencies may include:

  • Weekly

  • Fortnightly

  • Custom recurring schedules

Billing

Customers agree to maintain valid payment details for active subscriptions.

Failure to process payment may result in:

  • Suspension of services

  • Cancellation of the subscription

  • Additional charges for overdue accounts

5. Pricing & Fees

All pricing is listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

Pricing may vary based on:

  • Number of dogs

  • Property size

  • Service frequency

  • Property condition

  • Accessibility

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice to customers.

6. Initial Clean-Up Condition

Properties with excessive waste build-up may require:

  • An initial surcharge

  • Additional labour charges

  • A one-time restoration clean

Customers will be notified of any additional charges before work proceeds where practical.

7. Missed Visits & Access Issues

If we cannot complete a scheduled service due to:

  • Locked gates

  • Aggressive animals

  • Unsafe conditions

  • Severe obstruction

  • Weather-related hazards

The visit may be considered completed and charged accordingly.

Where possible, we may attempt to reschedule at our discretion.

8. Weather Conditions

Services may occasionally be delayed due to:

  • Heavy rain

  • Snow

  • Flooding

  • Extreme weather events

  • Unsafe working conditions

In these situations:

  • Services may be rescheduled

  • Timing may vary from the usual schedule

  • We are not liable for delays outside our control

9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Maintain a reasonably safe environment

  • Inform Scoop-It of aggressive or dangerous animals

  • Notify us of any access changes

  • Ensure pets are vaccinated and legally controlled where required

Customers remain fully responsible for their animals and property.

10. Cancellations

Subscription Cancellation

Customers may cancel recurring services by providing at least:

  • 48 hours notice before the next scheduled visit

Cancellations made after this period may still incur charges for the upcoming service.

One-Off Services

One-off bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled service may incur a cancellation fee.

11. Refund Policy

Refunds are assessed case-by-case.

Refunds will generally not be provided for:

  • Missed visits caused by inaccessible properties

  • Services already completed

  • Customer absence during service

If a customer is dissatisfied, they must notify Scoop-It within 24 hours of service completion.
